我々の好きな歌手に星野源という人がいる。
くも膜下出血により降板せざるを得なくなった彼のラジオにはいつも笑わせてもらい、そして病気の時は大いに心配した。
昨日の情熱大陸では最後まで彼の魅力の本当の理由をカメラに収めることはできなかった、といったようなことが言われていた。
誤解を恐れずに私なりに考えると、彼は感じている世界の「捉え方」は極めて平凡で、ただしその感度が非凡であり、またそれを表現し、伝える力が更に非凡なのではないかと思う。
誰もが感じているけれども実は理解しきれていない感覚を正確に捉え、その何かを細部のヒダに至るまで表現し、そしてその表現に使われる言葉や音はまたまたとても平凡なのではないかと思う。
世界を感じ、捉え、そして判断して行動していくのは何かと難しいけれども、その難しい部分をうまいこと分かり易く気付かせてくれる。でも先生のようではなく友達のように寄り添いながら。

自分が好きな人のことを考えると、自分がどうなりたいのか、そして自分が世界とどう関わりたいのか、そんなことの一端が垣間見える時がある。
我々もいつもの日常の何気ない喜びをきちっと知覚して、それを平凡な「言語」で作り出せるようになりたい、という風に読み替えることができるかもしれない。
星野源を知らない人にはなんのこっちゃ、という風に思うかもしれない、もし時間があれば是非一度彼の曲を。
もちろん気にいる人もいれば、そうではない人もいるであろうけれど。

There is our favorite musician whose name is Gen hoshino.
His radio program which he had to leave due to the subarachnoid hemorrhage made us laughing a lot.
On a TV show showing yesterday, it finished as “We finally couldn’t make it to film the real reason of his charm”.
Let me try to guess what it is.
The world he is capturing is ordinary, but the sensitivity of his is extraordinary.
And his expression to express it is also extraordinary.
He captures precisly the ordinary world which we actually not perfectly understanding, and he interpret it to smallest details and the words he uses are so ordinary somehow.
It is bit difficult indeed to understand this world and think, decide and act, but he let us notice it simply not like the teachers do but like a friends do.
To think about somebody you like will tell you how you want to be and how you’d like to take part it this world.
People who don’t know him might wonder what am I talking about, but please listen to his songs if you have the time. (All the songs are in Japanese though…)
