週末に地震があった。
淡路島が震源で最大震度は6弱を記録し、関西では広範囲にわたって震度４を計測。
震源が近かったからか神戸にいるわたしには明け方でも飛び起きるくらいドキっとする揺れであった。
そしてお昼間に神戸の対岸から淡路島と海を確認。
天気も良く、ぼんやり寝ころびながら眺めていると朝には恐ろしさを感じたことが嘘のように感じられ。
予測できない自然の動きは恐ろしくもあるけれど、好きな自然に背を向けるような過ごし方はできないものだ。
忘れずに日々の過ごし方、建築の考え方も自然とのよいバランス、ポイントを探りたい。

There was an earthquake last week in the area we live.
The epicenter was Awaji-shima island, magnitude was 6.0.
Since the epicenter was really close, it was a quake which makes us wake up immediately even though it was very early in the morning.
We were looking at the island from the opposite bank in the afternoon with laying down on the grass but the scenery doesn’t seems like such scary thing just happened in the morning.
It is scary the unpredictable nature’s disaster, but also we cannot live with turning our back on the nature itself.
We wish to live our daily life and planning architecture with considering about the right balance with the nature.
